L'anatomie humaine occupe une place centrale dans mon expression artistique. Les systèmes complexes qui composent notre corps et le maintiennent représentent un travail précis et constant qui s'exprime à travers mes mains dans le dessin, la peinture et le verre soufflé.

J'ai toujours été attirée par le travail manuel. La beauté et le fonctionnement des mains sont une source d'inspiration pour moi - elles symbolisent travail, technique et création, et sont un sujet récurrent dans mes peintures. Le verre, délicat mais fort, me rappelle la nature éphémère de la vie, et en travaillant avec ce matériau je suis constamment amenée dans un sentiment de fragilité. Dans mes créations, je m’inspire des formes musculaires pour exprimer mon émerveillement pour le corps et pour la vie, et pour inviter à réfléchir à sa propre mortalité.

My artistic practice is inspired by human anatomy. Through drawing, painting, and blown glass, I express my fascination with the complex systems which make up our bodies and sustain life.

I have always been drawn to working with my hands and find beauty in their form and functionality. Symbols of dedication, technique, and creation, hands appear as a recurring subject in my drawings and paintings. Glass, both fragile and strong, is reminiscent of the capacities of the human body. The physical aspects of blowing glass as well as the precise techniques required to create with this material are constant reminders of the intricacy and ephemerality of life. In my creations, I draw inspiration from the form of muscles to convey my wonder and awe of the body and life with the aim of evoking reflection on one’s own mortality.
